The Berean Institute is committed to equipping shepherds who are competent to nurture believers into maturity and active engagement in God’s mission.

Berean Institute utilizes a Bible-centered and integrative theology methodology resulting in ministry competency-based ministry certification.

"This education is way more precise and clear. Very centered on God's story in a chronological fashion which makes a lot more sense. God bless you!"

- Stephen K.

“For me, the Berean Institute is an answered prayer because I am a Bible student and a Bible teacher in children’s church, but I have never gone through such training. I did not know that the Bible had not been written in chronological order. Now that I’ve learned to read the Bible in chronological order, it makes it easier for me to understand and to answer my questions. I’m very thankful for the Berean Institute, and I’m very excited, eager to learn more, and grow in confidence in the Word of God.”

- Esther F. (Uganda)

Biblical Education

Berean Institute is committed to biblical education that: Focuses on God, focuses on God's Word, focuses on God's intentions for the world, and focuses on God's transforming power.

Our commitment to the Bible not only shapes the content of our theology, but also the way that we design educational processes and conduct teaching and learning, as modeled by Jesus and the Apostle Paul.

Defining Distinctives

“…Our prime concern is to simply ask the question: ‘What does the Bible as a whole in both testaments have to tell us about why the people of God exist and what they are supposed to be and do in the world?’…” - Christopher J.H. Wright

Competency-Based Learning

At Berean Institute, learners progress toward completion by consistently demonstrating competencies rather than just completing courses. Learning activities and practical ministry assignments are tailored and repeated as needed to meet each learner's specific needs.

A core team of online practitioners and facilitators, as well as individualized local “Life Transformation Group” support persons help guide, assess, and achieve real-world ministry competency.
